Based on an anonymous tip-off, officials raided a house in the area and recovered nearly Rs 75,000 in cash, four cell phones and some chits.

Officials said the matka operation is headquartered in Mumbai and the three men, Sadanand, Victor and Hem Singh, are only the agents.

They were taken to Viveknagar police station, where they spent the night.

"They have been running the operation from a small house for some time.
These three are merely henchmen in a bigger operation.
They are agents who entice people into online gambling," said a senior police official from the Viveknagar police station.
"At this point, it's unclear where the tip-off came from. They'll be produced in court tomorrow," he added.
