Tamil superstar Rajnikant, who was hospitalised for allergic bronchitis, is recuperating well and has beeen advised rest for a couple of days.
Aishwarya, Rajnikant's daughter and wife of actor Dhanush, said her father was "fine" and he had been hospitalised for allergic bronchitis and fever.
She said doctors had advised him rest and he would be under observation for two days at the Isabelle Hospital, where he was admitted after he complained of breathlessness. Doctors, who have prohibited visitors meeting the actor said he was "doing well" and required rest.
Meanwhile, concerned fans held special prayers wishing him good health, as this is the first time the iconic star has taken ill twice within a short period. Last week, the day his 'Rana' went on floors, he had been admitted to hospital for exhaustion. Deepika Padukone is the leading lady in the period film.
