750 volunteers prepare venue for protest and yoga camp

Preparations are afoot at the Ramlila grounds to welcome Baba Ramdev and his followers. From June 4, the Yoga guru will sit on an indefinite fast alongside followers to press the government to bring back black money stashed in tax havens abroad.

About 750 volunteers are making massive arrangements for the purpose. Ramdev will also be starting a Yoga camp at the venue from early morning June 4 in which more than thousands are likely to participate. "We have taken permission from the government to hold a protest at the Ramlila grounds. We are not only fighting for Swamiji but also for the whole country.

The protest will be unlike that in Libya and Egypt as we will do our part without violating the rules of the system. Massive arrangements are underway for the public and the media so that they don't suffer because of the heat. Special attention is being given to ensure that neither the public movement is hindered nor the administration faces any inconvenience during the protest. Overhead waterproof tents of around 2,50,000 sq.
ftu00a0 will be put up to shed those who attend the protest and Yoga camp," said Aacharya Bal Krishna, spokesperson, Patanjali Yogpeeth.

He added, "We will also put up three communication towers and a facility centre for the media. There will be helpline numbers too. Sound systems with low noise level will be arranged to avoid sound pollution. Five hundred water taps will be fixed to supply pure water to visitors."
