Shah Rukh's promise on taking his shirt off in the event of KKR making it to the IPL semis remained unfulfilled when his team was dumped out of the race Chennai Super Kings beat them by 9 wickets. Shah Rukh, who turned three months old on tweeter yesterday showed his disappointment in his 9 messages and blamed himself for the early exit.
Shah Rukh wasn't in Chennai for the match, but it was obvious that he was extremely upset by the result. In his last tweet on Tuesday before he signed out he wrote, "I am not sad. Just feel awful for Kolkata & all of this, most wonderful city & my sponsors No promises anymore. Bye all."
He started by saying, "I completely take the blame for not putting up a good enough show...so much love for KKR & I couldn't reciprocate. Will call all & thank them (KKR team) for trying, even if it wasn't good enuff. All r a good bunch. All of them. Sometimes our best not good enuff."
Then SRK became emotional, and sounded rather miserable. He also shared his private moments with his kids after losing the match, "My kids gave me a hug for the first time in 3 yrs when we lost. They have overcome the sadness of defeats better than me. Time to learn." He continued, "Just disappointed. Can't do anymore for KKR. Sorry can't sound fakely uppity about next season & thanx for support tweets. Many friends at home..So will be with them. Will try & get over this loss too like in the last 2 yrs. All supporters try the same."
