New Delhi: A Deputy Director of Doordarshan was killed today after being was hit by a speeding car during the morning walk in East Delhi's Anand Vihar area.
The incident took place around 6:30 AM when a car driven by one Manish Tandon (24) hit the 50-year-old Anurag Rastogi from behind, when he had set out for a morning walk.

"The impact was so hard that Rastogi was thrown away while the car crashed into a tree. Tandon also received serious injuries in the accident and is battling for his life in Guru Teg Bahadur hospital. Rastogi's family told us that he wasDeputy Director in Doordarshan," said a senior police official.
Tandon had lost control over the car when the incident took place. Rastogi lived with his family in Vigyan Vihar area, police said.
