Shiv Sena supplies nutritional food to kids facing malnutrition in Yavatmal

The district unit of Shiv Sena under the leadership of Minister of State for Revenue Sanjay Rathod had begun supply of nutritional food to 50,000 kids in the one year to 14 years age group as a part of its healthcare awareness campaign, it was announced here today.

Yavatmal: The district unit of Shiv Sena under the leadership of Minister of State for Revenue Sanjay Rathod had begun supply of nutritional food to 50,000 kids in the one year to 14 years age group as a part of its healthcare awareness campaign, it was announced here today.

To mark the launch of the campaign, 3,000 kids facing malnutrition across the district have been provided with a kit containing nutritional food including milk powder, tonic and multi-vitamin syrups at a function held at the local Utsav Mangal Karyalaya on Monday which was inaugurated by Sanjay Rathod, who also happens to be District Guardian Minister.


Rathod stated that more than 3,000 kids across 16 tehsils in the district suffer malnutrition, out of which 2,500 are girls.



"We decided to minimise the number malnutrition-hit kids by providing them with a nutritious diet," Rathod said, adding that Shiv Sainiks would continue to help such kids and their parents.

To mark the birth anniversary of Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, Rathod donated an ambulance to the senior citizens' forum here.
