The Bharati Vidyapith police in the wee hours yesterday arrested six youths for vandalising four SUVs with stones and sticks.
The police said the youths were in an inebriated state when they vandalised the cars, which were parked on the roadside at Mengadewadi in Katraj.
The arrested persons were identified as Rashid Shaikh, Dipak Rathod, Avinash Shinde, Ajay Wadghare, Sanjay Wadkar and Raunak Shah.
“The miscreants assembled on the road and consumed liquor, then they started shouting and went on attacking the cars,” PSI B B Kasar said.
“After we got a call from some residents, we rushed to the spot and nabbed all of them.” The police said one of the youths also stole a car tape from a car. u00a0
