Truck turns turtle
The truck turned turtle after hitting the tempo. The Khopoli police identified the truck driver as Ramkailas Ramkhilavan Mishra (42), a resident of MIDC Chinchwad and hailing from Allahabad. He died on the spot. The IRB employee who was killed was identified as Ananta Dattatray Sate (26), a resident of Khopoli, and the injured employee as Dinkar Haribhau Musale, a resident of Khargaon in Mumbai. Musale and tempo driver Balu Namdeo Khandagale (38), a resident of Umbraj, are both undergoing treatment at the Jalkotiya Hospital in Khopoli.

Dattatray Pawar, who was left unhurt in the accident, said he was at the Borgat exit with two other constables when the accident occurred. "The Khopoli exit was closed for heavy vehicles. As a container driver was unruly and insisting on taking the Khopoli exit, we took the container aside. Just then another truck came from the direction of Pune at such a speed that he knocked down the IRB employees before we could understand what was happening," said Pawar. Constable Bhaskar Maingal said the accident took place because the truck driver lost control over his vehicle.
