Lokesh (19) drank poison and tried killing himself because of alleged harassment by cops attached to Rajarajeshwari Nagar police, in front of the police station, yesterday

Lokesh was accosted by jurisdictional law and order police when he was riding his brother's bike in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, a couple of days back. The police found that Lokesh was not carrying his driving licence and other valid documents. The police seized the bike and issued a notice to him.
Lokesh, later in the evening, went to the police station and produced the documents and asked them to release the bike. The police who allegedly demanded a bribe snatched Rs 5,000 from his pocket.
Lokesh who was terribly upset over the cops' treatment left the police station and later returned with a bottle of poison.
When the police did not oblige to return his money, he consumed poison in front of the police station. Lokesh fellu00a0 unconscious and was frothing at the mouth. The police rushed him to a nearby hospital.
His condition is said to be critical.
