Shashi Tharoor resigned as Minister of State for External Affairs on Sunday.
The resignation followed allegations that Tharoor used his connections to get free stakes worth crores in the IPL Kochi team for his friend Sunanda Pushkar, a spa owner.
"Tharoor will learn politics and emerge stronger as India needs leaders like him," said Mani Shamte, one of the 7,26,419 people, who follow Tharoor on micro-blogging site Twitter.

It is not just Indians who have come out in support of Tharoor.
