"As per communication from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), the new toll rates will be effective from April 1," said a spokesperson of DS construction, concessioner of the expressway.

As per the new rates, car drivers who were earlier paying Rs.18 will now be charged Rs.20 at the Delhi-Gurgaon border.
The present volume of vehicles on the three toll plazas is close to 200,000 per day, of which almost 40 percent are using the smart tag facility.
The expressway was thrown open for public in January 2008 but within 50 days the rates were revised.
The 27.7-km Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, starting from Rao Tula Ram Marg in Delhi to 42nd Milestone in Gurgaon, has a 32-lane toll plaza near the Delhi-Gurgaon border, a six-lane toll plaza at the IGI Airport loop and an 18-lane plaza at the 42nd milestone.
Eighty percent traffic on the road comprises of cars. The new rate for light commercial vehicles (LCV) is Rs.29 and for heavy vehicles it is Rs.58 at the Delhi-Gurgaon border.
