Occupants of the collapsed vehicle pulled out after one and a half hours

A chemical-laden truck keeled over after losing balance in south Delhi late on Wednesday night, causing a huge traffic jam in the area. The incident took place near Chittaranjan Park.

Two occupants of the truck had got stuck underneath the overturned vehicle. They were pulled out by ambulance personnel during rescue efforts that took one and a half hours.

"Salim and his uncle Ahmed were trapped beneath the truck. Salim has suffered severe injuries. Both were rushed to AIIMS where they are undergoing treatment. Due to the accident there has been massive traffic jam.
The incidents took place at around 2 am near Masjid Moth in the area. The truck was coming from Alwar in Rajsthan," said a senior police officer.

The officer said that cranes were being used to remove the truck that was causing traffic problems.
