Two boys drown in water pit in Jangaon

Two boys drowned in a water pit at a village in this district of Telangana this afternoon, police said. Four children, aged between five to nine years, went near the water pit at Pallagutta village to play. Two of them entered the water pit to catch fish but got drowned, said ACP Sathyanarayana.

The deceased were identified as Shivarathi Chandu (8) and A Rajender (9), he said. The boys did not knwo swimming and were also not aware of the depth of the water body, police said.
