He also made a 'Shivling' praying for the sportspersons to give their best during the sports events that begin on Friday. The Rio Olympics opening ceremony will be held on Friday at Maracana Stadium in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro.
Owned by the Rio de Janeiro state government, it is, as is the Maracana neighborhood where it is located, named after the Rio Maracanã, a now canalised river in Rio de Janeiro.
