With less than two weeks to go for the Bihar Assembly polls, the BJP has been signalling that its preparations for the upcoming state assembly polls are in full swing. The BJP state president, Dilip Jaiswal, on Sunday, asserted that the "roadmap has been prepared" as our party has already intensified its campaigning for the assembly poll.

While speaking to the media on Sunday, senior BJP leader and state president Jaiswal said, "10 public rallies of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been proposed. Locations have been identified and sent to PMO. Home Minister Amit Shah will conduct around 25 public rallies. Almost the same number of rallies will be done by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and top leaders... "A roadmap has been prepared," as cited by news agency ANI.

The BJP state president on Saturday also informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the state on October 24 and will address two public rallies as part of his election campaign, reported ANI.

Jaiswal, while putting light on the BJP’s preparations ahead of the assembly polls, said that PM Modi's election campaign will begin from Samastipur, and later he will head to Begusarai to address public rallies.

He said, "The PM's proposed visit to Bihar is on 24th October. In Bihar, he will address public rallies at two places. His election campaign will begin on 24th October from Samastipur. From there, he will head to Begusarai and address a public rally there. His second proposed visit is on [30th] October," as cited by news agency ANI.

Will PM Modi attend Chhath Puja in Bihar?

Putting an end to all the rumours about PM Modi attending this year's Chhath Puja in Bihar, the BJP state president has made it clear that the Prime Minister will not be in Bihar on the occasion of Chhath Puja

When asked about the possibility of PM Modi participating in Chhath Puja celebrations, Jaiswal said the Prime Minister has no plans to attend the festival this year due to security concerns and to avoid inconveniencing the public.

Jaisawal said, "Since there is a matter of security, to ensure that common people celebrating Chhath do not face any issues, he has no such programme on Chhath. He wanted to come, but the common people celebrating Chhath would face inconvenience. So, there is no such programme," as per ANI.
