New Delhi: The government will use the social media for redressal of complaints related to issues concerning women and children and a Facebook page will be set up, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said on Wednesday.

"The ministry will set up an interactive complaints redressal page on Facebook for issues concerning women and children such as adoption, sexual offences and other atrocities," Maneka Gandhi said after taking office here.

Through this Facebook page, the ministry will be interacting directly with those who have sent the complaints or raised any issues that need attention.

She is a seven-time member of parliament. She was also in the council of ministers during the previous NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
