In an exclusive interview to MiD DAY, the Ichchadhari Sant says he's been framed. He speaks to Ketan Ranga about his family, his future and more
You have been tagged as the Sex Baba and have been charged in a number of cases. What's your version?
Baba: I am 99 per cent innocent. I have never carried out any act that will make me feel guilty. The hype is a creation of the media. I am a saint and I only sing the lord's praises. I can't even think of acting in such a way.

Does this mean that you are guilty by one per cent and were a party to this crime?
Baba: No, I am not guilty. I have been framed.
Who and why would someone frame you?
Baba:u00a0 Some politicians are behind this. I was getting threatening calls to fight for the Congress. But I never responded. They must have framed me for not showing interest.
Did you ever complain to the police?
Baba:u00a0 They used to threaten me and were forcing me to join. No, I never filed a complaint, as I never thought this would get me into such big trouble.
How could you be part of a prostitution racket?
Baba:u00a0 I never played with the life of any girl. I can't even think that way.
But you were caught red-handed with some girls in a car?
Baba:u00a0 No, this is all false. I have been framed, I told you.
You were allegedly carrying out this business under the guise of your sanstha.
Baba:u00a0 It is not my sanstha. Why blame me if someone else is carrying out such activities.
Someone else? Does this mean that such activities were going on in your sanstha?
Baba:u00a0 No, I have no idea about this. I am not aware of any such activities.
How can you manage property worth crores, being a saint?
Baba: I don't have any property. The area of the temple and the sanstha here does not belong to me. I have no property except the land in my village. I got that from my forefathers.
Did you purchase that land with your ill-gotten money? And now you are building a temple and a hospital there?
Baba: No, I have no ill-gotten money. I have been building the hospital for the villagers. Many of the villagers
Baba: I don't want to talk about that. I have not committed any crime.
Tell us about your family. Is it true that all of them have criminal backgrounds?
