Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) conducted a comprehensive emergency drill at its City Gate Station (CGS) located at Taloja CNG Retail Outlet.

The drill simulated a gas leak and subsequent fire in a CNG Transport Vehicle (CTV) during refuelling operations, along with a leak in the associated pipeline system. The aim was to assess response time, coordination, and the effectiveness of on-ground action during a high-risk emergency scenario.

The exercise was conducted in collaboration with multiple emergency response stakeholders, including the Taloja Fire Brigade, local police and traffic authorities, Mutual Aid Response Group (MARG), District Disaster Management Cell (Raigad), Taloja Manufacturers’ Association, Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), and GAIL.

Officials from the participating agencies not only took part in the drill but also provided constructive feedback on improving future response strategies. The District Disaster Management Cell's senior representative was present to observe the exercise.

The mock drill concluded successfully, with MGL’s emergency response efforts receiving strong appreciation from all attending authorities for their efficiency, coordination, and preparedness.
