In reference to the recent face-off between the Indian and the Chinese troops in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had accused the Centre of ‘sleeping’ while China makes ‘offensive preparations’ across the Line of Actual Control (LAC). He added that the Indian soldiers were ‘thrashed’ by the Chinese troops. Rahul Gandhi also criticized the media for not asking questions over the Tawang clash between Indian army and Chinese troops.
Speaking on the topic, BJP National president Jagat Prakash Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur cornered the Congress MP and said that Rahul Gandhi’s statement is outrageous and inspires anti-national elements. BJP MP Anurag Thakur said, ‘Rahul Gandhi was having soup with Chinese people during the Doklam standoff’. While UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath demanded his apology to the Indian Army over his remarks.
Rahul Gandhi made this statement while he was addressing a press conference during his Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is in Rajasthan at the moment.
