Women from Sandeshkhali were set to participate in a women`s rally to be addressed by the Prime Minister on March 6 in Barasat, West Bengal. Expressing their intentions, a resident said, “We are heading to PM Modi to implore him to guarantee our right to vote, demand justice for the atrocities against women, and advocate for peace.” Another local said, “We are going to see Narendra Modi. We will ask him to give us our right to vote back. The way Shahjahan Sheikh took back our voting rights that shouldn’t happen again.” mphasising the statements of the two previous locals, another local woman said, “We want our peace and voting rights back.
