According to the prosecutors in Lucerne, the husband kept watch outside, while his wife emptied the boxes. The couple, who are reported to be relatively well-off, say one of their motives for the robberies was the adrenaline rush they got from ‘the pleasure of the forbidden’, reported local media.

They have now been arrested and an investigation has been launched. According to the World Bank, Switzerland is one of the top five richest countries in the world, with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita of almost $79,000 (Rs 46.65 lakh).
