Having said this, it is equally relevant that remarks made by celebrity politicians more often than not are brought to public notice by sensation seeking media and opportunistic political parties.
Varun Gandhi is an educated and an articulate young man. Sure, he may have erred in the selection of appropriate words and by now must have become wiser.
Murderers, extortionists and match fixers are seen standing for the polls. Let the ire of all conscious citizens be directed at this scum of our society who are aspiring to rule us.
Varun Gandhi at least does not fall in this notorious category. Surely he deserves a chance and should not be made a victim of vote bank politics.
A wrap on the knuckles by the EC should suffice and the matter ought to be left at that. Leave it to the electorate to sit on judgment of Varun Gandhi. Let the people's will prevail.
