The sudden passing of Amit Saigal, founder and editor of music magazine Rock Street Journal, caused many to tweet about the loss to India's independent music scene. As Jaideep Khare put it, for instance, 'Back in school, when we knew nothing about Indian rock, we did know Rock Street Journal.' Ayush Boruah added: 'The only resolution I have is to buy all editions of Rock Street Journal that will be released this year.' There was also this, from Sony Music India: 'RIP Amit Saigal.
