Anyone wondering if Kate Middleton prefers toasters with two slots rather than four, or patterned duvet covers instead of plain, will have to wait a little longer.

Because Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding list is for family and friend's eyes only.

Details of their demands are scant, but it is understood the couple have asked close friends and family for help setting up home in their new Anglesey cottage.

It is understood they will move to the North Wales island after the wedding on April 29 to be close to William's RAF base where he flies search and rescue helicopters.

But for everybody else, the royal couple have asked well-wishers to donate to one of 26 chosen charities instead.

They include an anti bullying charity and a London Zoo project to save the black rhino in Kenya, where William proposed, as well as several military charities linked to William's work as an RAF search and rescue pilot and his new role as a colonel in the Irish Guards.

Any gifts over ufffd250 will be either kept, archived or given directly to charity, while presents from commercial companies will be sent back.

A royal source said, "When Prince Charles and Diana got married they received more than 6,000 gifts from the public. Kate and William set up the charity list so the good will of the public could be put to good use.

But they're also furnishing two homes. So certain guests will be told about the existence of the list." The source said the list was like any other wedding list, not with one specific shop in mind.

"There's nothing particularly extravagant on it no gold taps just regular things to help them fill the sparsely decorated cottage in Anglesey," the source added.

Snoop's song
Snoop Dogg has written a song for Prince William's bachelor party. Snoop explained, "It's called Wet. I wanted him to have a little bit of fun before he got married. See all the girls that you gonna be able to see... and enjoy yourself." He also joked that Queen Elizabeth had asked him to pen the song.
