A prank by students turned tragic here when high school teacher Jason Hughes, 40, died after being run over by a pickup truck. 

Students had covered his trees with toilet paper. As they fled, Hughes tripped onto the road and was struck by 18-year-old Jayden Wallace’s vehicle. 


Wallace faces vehicular homicide charges as the community mourns the beloved teacher.
