    Around 31 nurses and five doctors from Jaslok Hospital tested positive for COVID-19. The nurses, who have been kept in quarantine at the hospital's Ballard Pier hostel are all asymptomatic. However, their health is being monitored. The five doctors include a registrar of medicine, a registrar of pulmonology, senior anaesthetist, a junior anaesthetist and a junior radiologist.

The doctor said that both the children have tested negative for the deadly virus but could not be breastfed as there are chances of virus transmission.

    In order to decongest hospitals, 709 people from hospitals and quarantine areas were shifted to Corona Care Centres (CCC) by the BMC, out of which more than 50 per cent are from hospitals. The civic body had made a list of 671 patients, who could be shifted to CCC. The step has was taken to reduce the burden on overflowing hospitals and doctors amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Karim. who returned from the hospital said that he was very comfortable at Nanavati hospital where he remained asymptotic through his stay. Lauding the efforts of healthcare professionals, Karim said that the government and medical warriors are doing a fantastic job.

    In a shocking incident, a lawyer who had suffered a heart attack lost his life when two hospitals refused to admit him. A resident of Sector 17 in Vashi area of Navi Mumbai, the lawyer suffered a massive heart attack on April 14 post which he collapsed after having lunch. After running from one hospital to another, when the victim was finally admitted to a medical facility, he passed away.

    On Sunday, while addressing the state, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that the state government will allow the industries from green and orange zones to start production and processing activities in a restricted manner from April 20. Uddhav also said that the industries will have to arrange the accommodation for their workers and make sure that the workers do not travel long distance for work.

    Residents of Navi Mumbai were in for a visual treat when a large number of migratory Flamingo birds flocked to the city amid lockdown. The whole creek area was a sea of delicate pink. Every year, thousands of greater and lesser flamingos migrate to Mumbai. While the lesser flamingos take a journey south from Gujarat's Kutch, the greater flamingos are believed to fly in from as far as Iran.

    On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that there will be no relaxation in the lockdown due to coronavirus in the national capital as all the 11 districts are hotpots. Kejriwal said the situation will be reviewed after a week and if there is improvement, the relaxation will be given. There are 1,900 cases are in the city and 26 patients are in the ICU and six are on the ventilators, he said.

    While addressing a press conference, Lav Aggarwal, Joint Secretary, Health and Family Welfare said that a total of 56 districts in 23 States/Union Territories did not report any cases in the last 14 days. Aggarwal also said that there are 755 dedicated COVID-19 hospitals and 1,389 dedicated health care centres across the country, to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

    Aggarwal also said that there will some relaxations from April 20 but there will be no relaxation in hotspots and containment zones. "Necessary services will be provided in hotspots and content zones. Passenger movement will be banned till May 3. Rail, airlines, malls and cinema houses will continue to remain closed. All types of gathering are prohibited in all areas," he said.
