On Wednesday, Karan Johar performed Diwali puja at his Dharma Productions. Seen in this photo by his side is the company's CEO Apoorva Mehta. The staff members were clicked while performing puja. (All pictures: Instagram)
Present at Karan Johar's Diwali puja were his muses and 'Students' Ananya Panday, Alia Bhatt and Tara Sutaria. Karan shared this photo on his Instagram account and captioned it: "The students!!!! #soty [sic]." While Alia made her debut with Johar's Student of The Year (2012), Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria are all geared up to splash their charm with Student of The Year 2. The trio looks beautiful in bright colours.
Karan Johar built a creche at Dharma Productions for his employees after the man entered parenthood via surrogacy. He often takes his children along with him, so that he can spend some quality time with them. Isn't this picture of Karan holding Yash in his arms the cutest!? Not to miss daddy and baby twinning in the embroidered kurta for the pious occasion of Diwali.
Karan Johar keeps sharing photos and videos of his twins Yash and Roohi on Instagram. He often takes them for play-dates with best friend Kareena Kapoor's son, Taimur Ali Khan and other toddlers of his close pals. The father-daughter duo looks adorable!
Karan Johar with his children Yash Johar and Alia Bhatt. Karan has time and again mentioned that he has a paternal feeling towards Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. In fact, recently when Karan was not in the city, it was Alia and Ranbir who were baby-sitting his twins. The filmmaker had also shared a photo of Alia holding Roohi in her arms and wrote, "My girls!!!! [sic]" with many heart emoticons. Alia had even tied rakhi to Yash on Raksha Bandhan.
Varun Dhawan with his mentor Karan Johar and the latter's son, Yash Johar. While Karan and Yash were twinning in the black embroidered kurta, Varun Dhawan was seen in an off-white kurta and black pant with black shoes.
Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani were also in attendance at the Puja and spent some time together. The girls evidently loved the backdrop and went on a non-stop picture-clicking spree. Dressed in a powder yellow dress, both Alia and Kiara look pristine and shine bright with Varun adding the perfect element required for a beautiful picture.
Karan Johar's Student of The Year 2 director Punit Malhotra poses with the new 'students' Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday. While Tara Sutaria is a newcomer to Bollywood, Ananya is the daughter of senior actor Chunky Panday. On another note, Tara Sutaria has already bagged her second film opposite Sidharth Malhotra. While the entire students' clan was present for the puja, Sidharth Malhotra's absence definitely irked us!
Other directors from the Dharma Productions' wing - Abhishek Varman and Ayan Mukerji with Alia Bhatt. While Ayan is directing Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia and Mouni Roy, Abhishek is directing the multi-starrer film Kalank. The film has an ensemble cast of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kemmu and others. The grandeur of the star cast adds excitement to see the scale of the film on the 70 mm.
Vicky Kaushal is riding high on success and fame after his stupendous act in Sanjay Dutt's biopic titled, Sanju and Karan Johar's Raazi, which was produced by Dharma. Karan has certainly developed a liking towards Vicky's acting calibre, a testimony of which is that Karan has cast him in his historical ensemble film Takht. He will likely be paired opposite Alia Bhatt. It will be interesting to watch them on screen together after Raazi.
Not only the dress colour but there's one more thing that is common between Kiara Advani and Alia Bhatt. They both share the same name - Alia. Kiara's original name is Alia Advani. In one of the interactions, she had mentioned that when she was making her debut, Alia's name had already been established in Bollywood. It was then that Karan Johar suggested Kiara to take this name as her onscreen one. Had she forayed with the name 'Alia,' she would have been lost in the name confusion, Kiara had once confessed. After doing Karan Johar's Lust Stories, which changed her career, she will be seen in his film, Kalank. Apparently, Kiara has a dance number in this film.
On the occasion of Laxmi Pujan, Karan Johar performed a pooja at his Dharma Productions. The holy ritual was attended by Karan's old and new 'students' Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Also, seen at the Dharma Productions' was Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, director Abhishek Varman and Ayan Mukerji. Here are some of the inside photos of the stars performing puja and spending quality time with each other.
