As Ayodhya prepares for the grand consecration ceremony this month, Lord Ram got special offering from the place of his maternal grandparents and his in-laws in Nepal. Water from 16 holy rivers of Nepal reached Ayodhya on December 30. Nepal will also send special souvenirs consisting of various types of jewellery, utensils, clothes, and sweets for the event. On January 22nd, the idol of Lord Ram will be consecrated at the grand Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Addressing a mega public gathering in Ayodhya, PM Modi had said the whole world is eagerly waiting for January 22, 2024 when Lord Ram is going to be seated in his grand temple.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited handed over the first LCA Tejas twin-seater trainer version aircraft to IAF on Oct 04. MoS for Defence Ajay Bhatt, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari were present at the LCA Tejas division plant. This historic event mark the achievement of a key milestone of producing LCA Twin Seater. It is designed with a strategic intent of graduating budding pilots from the Twin Seater variants to fighter Pilots. HAL has an order of 18 twin seater from IAF and is planning to deliver eight twin seater in FY 2023-24. Further, 10 Light Combat Aircraft twin seaters would be delivered progressively by 2026-27. LCA-Tejas is the largest R-D program ever undertaken in India that made its maiden flight in 2001. It is going to be the backbone of the IAF fleet in years to come and is slated to be produced in high numbers. HAL has already received an order for 123 aircraft out of which 32 fighters have been supplied to IAF. This adds India to the list of elite countries that have created such capabilities in their Defence Forces. LCA Tejas is the best platform for India to be a flag bearer to achieve export targets set by the government.

India’s 18-year-old Chess Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa was given a grand welcome at Chennai Airport on August 30. Earlier in the day to welcome India’s Chess Grandmaster, a large number of people gathered at Chennai Airport. People enthusiastically performed the traditional dance to welcome India’s 5 times Chess Grandmaster, R Praggnanandhaa. R Praggnanandhaa won silver and finished as runner-up at the FIDE Chess World Cup. Several school students also thronged to the airport to welcome him. The rescue operations in rain-battered Shimla entered day six on August 19. Joint rescue operations are underway by NDRF, SDRF, Indian Army and local people. So far, 16 bodies, among 20 people have been recovered from the Summer Hill area of Shimla. Over 70 people have lost their lives in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh due to the deadly monsoon. Moreover, the state has suffered a loss of more than 7,500 crores, as per the govt reports.

A 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Shahbad Dairy in Delhi. The accused has been identified as Sahil (20), a resident of Delhi. The gruesome incident was caught on camera installed in the lanes. The deceased were in a relationship but a spat broke out between the two on May 28. Minor girl was planning to attend her friend's son's birthday when Sahil intercepted, attacked her. He attacked her multiple times & hit her with a stone before leaving the spot. An FIR has been registered in this regard under section 302 IPC at Shahbad Dairy Police station.

Three days after the Supreme Court gave its verdict on the political crisis in Maharashtra, a high-level delegation of Shiv Sena (UBT) handed over a 79-page letter to Deputy Speaker Narhari Zhirwal demanding to complete the process to disqualify 16 MLAs from Shinde camp and take a decision within 15 days. Reacting to this, NCP leader Ajit Pawar made it clear that the action would not actually topple the government. Meanwhile Speaker Rahul Narvekar said that decision “will be taken as per the law” and “not to satisfy anyone”.
