Miracle Man pulled out alive from debris after 48 hours

Nearly 48 hours after a factory building collapsed in Jalandhar, one person has been pulled out alive from under the debris. The three-storey building, housing a blanket factory, collapsed in the Focal Point area of the city around midnight on Sunday. 60 people have been rescued from the accident site so far while many people are still said to be trapped under the debris. Mumbai Rains: City to experience heavy showers for next 24-48 hours

Waterlogging and potholes continued to be a menace in several parts of Mumbai due to heavy downpour since Sunday. Relentless rainfall caused major disruption in railway services, traffic snarls and people were seen wading through knee-deep water. Weathermen from India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the downpour is expected to continue in the next 48 hours with heavy spells expected in some parts of the city. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into coastal areas and the open sea for the next 24 hours

Monsoon expected to arrive in Mumbai in the next 48 hours

The India Meteorological Department has stated that conditions are so favourable, that the monsoon will reach parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, over the weekend. An official from the IMD has said that the monsoon onset in Mumbai could result in heavy rainfall in the city by 15th June.
