Rescue and search is operation underway in Ganderbal Nowgam area of Srinagar. 3 people are still missing in the boat capsizing incident that occurred in the Jhelum River yesterday. According to DC Srinagar, Six bodies have been found so far. Officials said that the rescue operation continued till 11 pm last night but was halted due to darkness and heavy water flow in the river Jhelum. On 16th of April, in a tragic accident a boat carrying school children overturned in the Jhelum river in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Srinagar Administration had launched a rescue operation in the area. A State Disaster Response Force team was also deployed. At least six persons including four children were found dead. 4 bodies were recovered, while others were missing. Continuous rains over last two days led to an increase in the water levels of several water bodies, including Jhelum.

A horrific bus accident took place in Haryana’s Mahendragarh on April 11 sending shockwaves across India. At least 5 students were killed and 15 were rendered injured after a private school bus overturned in the Kanina town. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital following the horrific road tragedy. As per police, the driver was driving the bus under the influence of alcohol. One of the parents and other locals also claimed that the driver was drunk while driving. One of the relatives of deceased child said the school administration was made aware of the drinking habit of the driver. A massive train accident took place near Ajmer today. Passengers sustained minor injuries after Sabarmati Express collided with a goods train on March 18. The incident occurred at midnight near Madar station in Ajmer district. However, no casualties have been reported so far in the incident. Several passengers sustained minor injuries and least four coaches and the engine of Sabarmati Express train got derailed. The reason behind the train derailment is yet to be ascertained. A tragic train accident took place in Jharkhand's Jamtara on 28th February evening as a passenger train ran over 2 passengers at the Kalajharia railway station killing both of them. The Eastern Railway said the victims were walking on the track when they were run over by the Jhajha-Asansol Memu passenger train. A car collided with a vehicle near US President Joe Biden’s motorcade in Wilmington on December 17. Biden and his wife Jill had left his campaign headquarters after having a meal with members of his re-election team when the incident happened. Thirty-six people died and 19 others were injured after a bus fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda on November 15. Union Minister Jitendra Singh confirmed in a post on X about the 36 deaths and said that out of those injured six people were said to be in critical condition. Talking about the Doda Bus accident, the Sarpanch of the Assar area said alleged the administration of being least bothered about frequent accidents in the area. He said that there have been around 10 such incidents but the administration pays no heed. “36 people died on spot. It is being said that some people died among the ones who were critically injured… there have been around 10 such incidents but the administration pays no heed. Since the road has been constructed, we are just carrying dead bodies,” said Assar Sarpanch.

Drone visuals have emerged from the Assar region of Doda where at least 36 people died and 19 others were injured in a bus accident. The visuals give a view of the deep gorge into which the bus fell. 25 bodies have been recovered so far. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that a helicopter service was being arranged to transport the injured. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar and GMC Doda. PM Modi expressed his condolences and also announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF to the next of kin of each deceased in the Doda bus accident. Rs. 50,000 would be given to the injured.
