Following an incident of alleged assault against an IndiGo pilot on board, Air India's pilot Captain Zoya Agarwal condemned the IndiGo Slapgate incident and asserted that violence is not the way in any situation."It sends chills down my spine, violence is not the way in any situation...forget about when it happens with the Pilot, a crew member is a professional, the same person is going to be flying all of you. Violence is not just a way," Air India's pilot Captain told ANI. Earlier on January 14, a passenger was seen hitting the pilot of an Indigo flight while he was announcing a delay in departure at Delhi Airport. Following an incident of alleged assault against an IndiGo pilot on board, the accused passenger was declared 'unruly', the airlines said in a statement on January.

India-Canada Row: Khalistani Gurpatwant Pannun threatens to blow up Air India

While the ongoing India-Canada row has strained the relations between the two nations, a fresh threat by a Khalistani terrorist has once again escalated the tensions. Designated Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has threatened to attack Air India flights from November 19. Pannun claimed that Air India flights won’t be allowed to operate on November 19. A video of Gurpatwant Pannun making these claims has been doing rounds on social Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is the chief of the banned outfit Sikhs For Justice. This is not the first time Gurpatwant Pannun has threatened India and its leaders. Earlier in September, Khalistani secessionists held a so-called 'Referendum' in Surrey, British Columbia. In a provocative speech, Pannun used intimidating language against PM Narendra Modi, EAM S Jaishankar and other leaders. The Khalistan separation sentiment was fueled after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau voiced up for Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In June 2023, Nijjar, who was a Canadian citizen, was killed in Canada’s Surrey outside a Gurdwara. However, Canadian PM alleged that some Indian agents were involved in Nijjar’s killing.

Air India Express rebrands aircraft with new logo and aircraft 'livery'

 Air India Express on October 18 rebranded its aircraft with a new logo, livery. The event was held at the Mumbai airport. The new Air India Express mainly features four colours including orange, turquoise, tangerine and ice blue. According to the airline, the livery of the first new Boeing 737-8 aircraft was inspired by the Bandhani textile design. Air India Express is in the process of mearing with AIX Connect-Air Asia India and will operate as one airline. This comes a little over two months after Air India unveiled its new brand identity.

The new logo symbol – “The Vista” is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame, signifying limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline’s bold, confident outlook for the future. While addressing the rebranding event Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that we are fully committed to this journey to make Air India a world-class airline. He further stated, “Today is an important milestone, because the new Air India, the vision we have for the airline is also in the backdrop of a new resurgent India, where the aspiration of everyone are limitless.”The rebranding of Air India gained momentum after the Tatas took over the airline. It took also 15 months for the transformation to make the airline world-class in terms of safety, customer service and experience that Air India used to known for which required enormous work on technology, fleet, maintenance, ground handling, operations and more.
