In order to educate children across the city of Mumbai about the need to protect the environment and empower them with solutions to do the same, environmentalists, celebrities and corporates came together for the ‘Save the Tiger’ event in Mumbai. In an event organised by Sanctuary Nature Foundation graced by Dia Mirza, children took part in numerous workshops and events directed towards saving wildlife and the environment. People from all walks of life came together with only one goal - to save the planet and save the Tiger.

The Sky Is Pink As Flamingos Flock To Mumbai

Flamingos visited the wetlands at the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary. Mumbaikars can also see them in abundance at Airoli, Mahul, and Sewri. They visit mostly for feeding purposes from breeding sites in the Gujarat region as well as Iran. Their migration starts post monsoon when water-filled regions start drying up. Since 1994, Thane creek has been attracting flamingos in large numbers. The boat rides at Thane creek have begun from 1st January for wildlife lovers and birdwatchers, who reached the spot in large numbers. Approximately 1 lakh flamingos have migrated this year, according to a forest officer.

Sanctuary’s Kids For Tigers Fest at NCPA Mumbai | World Environment Day

There is #OnlyOneEarth and in honour of it, Sanctuary Nature Foundation Sanctuary Asia hosted a day-long KIDS FOR TIGERS fest with the National Centre for Performing Arts NCPA Mumbai. With games, wildlife activities, workshops, exhibitions, nature trails, theatre, films, storytelling and much more, hundreds of kids embraced the joys of being outdoors and celebrating nature!
