The Supreme Court today halted the demolition drive in Delhi's Jahangirpuri and agreed to take up plea against razing of houses of the riot accused. The clash between two groups erupted during a religious procession in Delhi's Jahangirpuri on April 16 that left nine people injured including eight police personnel and a civilian. Amid Ram Navami celebrations, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal saw clashes on Sunday. According to media reports, one person was killed in Gujarat after stones were allegedly thrown at religious processions. Police have arrested nine people for their alleged involvement in violence and stone-pelting during a procession on Ram Navami at Khambat in Gujarat's Anand district. Curfew was clamped in the entire Khargone city of Madhya Pradesh after clash erupted at a Ram Navami procession. At least 24 people, including six policemen, were injured in the violence.
