Delhi Rains: Water level of Yamuna continues to rise, reaches walls of Taj Mahal

 After touching the record mark of 208.66 meters in Delhi, the water level in River Yamuna is on a continuous rise. Due to an increase in water level, excess waters reached the outer walls of the Taj Mahal in Agra on July 19. Historic garden behind the seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal completely submerged in floodwaters. Meanwhile, locals are terrified and said that for the first time, they have witnessed such a rise in the water level. Yamuna River touched the walls of the Taj Mahal for the first time in nearly 45 years. “No threat to Taj Mahal” said the Archaeological Survey of India after Yamuna touched the outer walls of the iconic monument

On 20th January, the Bombay High Court granted a transit pre-arrest bail to "Tandav" director Ali Abbas Zafar, Amazon Prime India head Aparna Purohit, producer Himanshu Mehra and the show's writer Gaurav Solanki, against whom a case has been registered in Lucknow for allegedly hurting religious sentiments through the web series. Despite two scenes being removed from the web series, fresh FIRs were lodged against its makers and cast in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Meanwhile, The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has managed to collect only 10 percent of the targeted property tax for the year 2020-21 in view of the pandemic, but now it plans to auction the helicopters of Mesco Aerospace it seized in February last year to recover Rs 1.95 crore in tax.
