In a major breakthrough in the Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi Murder Case, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police, detained three persons. Delhi Police carried out the operation jointly with Rajasthan Police and nabbed the accused on December 10 from Chandigarh. As per the police, the main accused, Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, are also among those arrested. On Dec 5, Gogamedi was murdered by two shooters, Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathod, in the living room of his residence. One of the assailants, Naveen Shekhawat, was killed at Gogamedi's residence during the exchange of fire. Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was the National President of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. Karni Sena activists held protests after the gruesome killing of Gogamedi.

Delhi Liquor Policy Scam is constantly in the headlines. Recently, the Enforcement Directorate issued a summons to K Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao. She was summoned by the ED for questioning. K Kavita had sought a week's time from the ED in view of the proposed sit-in in support of the Women Reservation Bill. However, her demand was rejected by the ED and she was called earlier. She tweeted the summon is nothing but “political victimisation”.

The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a woman and her son from the Pandav Nagar area for the murder of her husband in June. They then disposed of the body in east Delhi grounds — part by part.CCTV visuals from that time showed the mother and son on their way to dump the body parts. This comes weeks after the arrest of Poonawala, 28, who chopped off his live-in girlfriend Shraddha Walkar to 35 pieces on 18 May before strewing the parts all over the city, mainly in the urban forest of Mehrauli.
