Raghav Chadha of the AAP objected to the Post Office Bill in Lok Sabha on the first day of the Parliament winter session 2023 after 115 days of suspension. He focused on privacy concerns, pointing out the lack of specific protocols for opening and intercepting letters. He described it as an act of citizen spying and a breach of constitutional articles 19 and 21. It is worthy to be noted that Raghav Chadha on December 4 joined the Winter Session after alleged revocation of his suspension. However, sources told ANI that claim made by Raghav Chadha that his Suspension from Rajya Sabha has been revoked by the Privilege Committee is wrong. “There is no revocation of suspension. He has been held guilty by the Committee for both the charges & punished. The Committee said that his suspension for last more than three months (suspended on 11th August) till date is enough punishment and will meet the ends of justice, therefore, he can now attend the proceedings of the House. This correct position be highlighted,” the sources added.

The United States Secretary of the Treasury Janet L Yellen said that the G20 summit 2023 has been extremely effective under India’s leadership in spite of the problems caused by the Russia-Ukraine war and Russia’s general absence from the G20 initiatives. “It is important to emphasise that the G20 is a prime solution to the global challenges. We see it as a premier organisation on a global basis that is taking on critical challenges facing the global economy and particularly the global South. I believe the G20, in spite of obvious problems due to Russia's war against Ukraine and Russia's general absence from G20 initiatives, has been extremely effective, especially under India's leadership. Our goals for the G20 have coincided closely with those of India. We have tackled very important challenges. CBI officials reached the Balasore train accident site in Odisha on June 06. The officials have arrived to investigate the horrific accident and assess the ground reality. The deadly Balasore train accident has claimed lives of 275 people and over 1,000 injured. A 10-member CBI team has reached the accident site and began its investigation. Notably, the Railway board on Sunday recommended the CBI probe in Balasore train accident. An FIR has been registered at Balasore Railway Police Station against unknown persons under relevant sections of IPC.
