Following the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal by ED in the Excise Policy Case, opposition leaders reacted to the arrest and slammed Bharatiya Janata Party for being behind the arrest and for targeting the I-N-D-I-A Alliance. On ED arrests Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in the Excise policy case, Saravanan Annadurai, DMK spokesperson says, "It is on expected lines... He (PM Modi) wants to divert the attention of the common man from the mega scam, the biggest loot, the extortion racket that the BJP has run (Electoral Bond). That is why this arrest has been made. The High Court questioned the ED that what is the evidence that they had got to go behind Arvind Kejriwal. They (ED) sought time in the Court and now come knocking at his doors. We hope the Supreme Court will intervene to ensure that the democracy prevails,” said Saravanan Annadurai “This is vindictive politics ahead of Lok Sabha elections. BJP knows it is losing from every state that is why it is targeting non-BJP parties and leaders and pressuring them by using Central Agencies," said Kunal Ghosh. Arvind Kejriwal's Arrest: BJP’s Sambit Patra slams Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal have been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy case, sources said. BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Arvind Kejriwali's arrest said, “A high-voltage drama is going on outside the residence of Arvind Kejriwal. A celebration of corruption is going on... If their excise policy was so good, why was it cancelled? Why and how did you introduce cartelization in the whole process of liquor procurement? Why did he give contracts to his close ones? Initially, 5% commission was given, which was increased to 12%, and even 7% additional commission was received by him in the form of black money. There is no court left in this country that the AAP did not approach to spread their lies. Still, they did not get any relief from anywhere. Atishi says Arvind Kejriwal is not a person; he is an idea. I should say he is a bad idea."
