During the latest episode of Sit With Hitlist, filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti revealed that the character of Safeena, played by Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy, was initially written as part of another movie by Reema. Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the string of anti-Jewish protests by pro-Palestinians held across the world gained a major flash point on October 29. Scores of Pro-Palestinians carried Palestinian flag and chanted religious slogans at Dagestan Airport in Russia. The ‘angry’ crowd invaded the airport facility hunting for Jewish passengers, demonstrating against war in Gaza. Hundreds of protesters were seen entering the air terminal and then storming various rooms inside. The mob also scuffled with airport police and they reportedly blocked the runway and tried to overturn a police vehicle. Soon after the incident, Israel urged Russian authorities to protect Israelis and Jews in their jurisdictions. However, Russian Aviation Authority Rosaviatsia said that all "unauthorised citizens" had been removed from Makhachkala Airport. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy launched an attack on Russia over the incident.

Special Aarti Performed At Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir In Pune on the occassion of Ganesh Chaturthi 2023. The Ganesh Chaturthi festival, which falls in the Bhadrapada month of the Hindu calendar, marks the birthday of Lord Ganesha, son of Shiva and Parvati. Also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav, the festival is characterised by the installation of Ganesha idols at homes and in gilded pandals (make-shift stage). The 10-day festival ends with the idols taken for Visarjan through elaborate immersion processions. The idols are immersed on the day of Anant Chaturdashi.

In a fresh incident of train collision in India, two goods trains collided at Ondagram railway station in Bankura in West Bengal on June 25. Several wagons and engines of a goods train derailed in the accident. Rail operation on Kharagpur–Bankura–Adra line was halted for some time. As of now, 11 trains have been cancelled. West Bengal train accident comes days after the horrific triple train collision involving the Coromandel Express and two other trains in Odisha's Balasore that claimed at least 275 lives and injured 1,000.
