The Republic Day weekend is a goldmine for film releases. Looking at the box office performances of Republic Day weekend releases in the past decade, SRK's Pathaan and Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat occupy the top two spots. While Pathaan earned Rs 57 cr, the latter got an opening of Rs 24 cr . Both films feature Deepika and were released on Jan 25 of different years.
