On March 17, a mob attacked a shopkeeper over allegedly playing Hanuman Chalisa during ‘azaan’. A Hindu organisation held a protest in Bengaluru on March 19 over the Hanuman Chalisa row. Meanwhile, a clash erupted between Hindu organisation and Police during the protest. BJP Yuva Morcha National President Tejasvi Surya also joined the protest on March 19. Later, BJP MP Surya urged protestors to quit the demonstration after a clash with Bengaluru Police after he was detained. For the unversed,a Bengaluru shopkeeper was  allegedly beaten for playing loud music at the time of Azaan (Islamic call to prayer). The shopkeeper claims he was playing Hanuman Chalisa at this shop in central Bengaluru when the assault took place.

It was organised at Mahila Park near the iconic Jamia Masjid in Old Delhi on December 31. The broadcast drew Muslim participants from diverse age groups, especially women. On of the participants heaped praises on PM Modi. Actor Akshay Kumar made a special appearance in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat and shared his advice for the people. This was 2023’s last episode of  Mann Ki Baat. The show made history as it aired its 100th episode on April 30 2023 and ended up tuning in millions of people.

A complaint has been filed against Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor at the Ghatkopar Police Station for allegedly hurting religious sentiments over a viral video while celebrating Christmas. The complaint has been filed by Bombay High Court's advocates Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra in which they have demanded to register a case under sections 295A, 298,500 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). In the viral video, wine and liquor are poured over a cake and then Ranbir Kapoor sets it on fire saying, 'Jai Mata Di'.
