On April 17, BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Hyderabad constituency Madhavi Latha, criticized the Telangana government over police denying permission for Ram Navami Shobha Yatra of BJP MLA Raja Singh. Rescue and search is operation underway in Ganderbal Nowgam area of Srinagar. 3 people are still missing in the boat capsizing incident that occurred in the Jhelum River yesterday. According to DC Srinagar, Six bodies have been found so far. Officials said that the rescue operation continued till 11 pm last night but was halted due to darkness and heavy water flow in the river Jhelum. On 16th of April, in a tragic accident a boat carrying school children overturned in the Jhelum river in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Srinagar Administration had launched a rescue operation in the area. A State Disaster Response Force team was also deployed. At least six persons including four children were found dead. 4 bodies were recovered, while others were missing. Continuous rains over last two days led to an increase in the water levels of several water bodies, including Jhelum.
