One of Mumbai’s most famous tourist hotspots - Khotachiwadi is paying the price for being a heritage marvel. Tourists have been trespassing on residents' households and incidents of theft and accidents have pretty common in once-a-quiet village. Once Willy’s songs attracted crowds from far and wide and he welcomed guests with open arms to a display of his cherished belongings! But today, Willy keeps his doors shut for all that he has got in return is damage to his property! The greatest Christmas present for this Santa of Khotachiwadi would be to see his Khotachiwadi as peaceful, safe and serene as it used to be!

Article 370 Verdict: Farooq Abdullah clarifies on “Let J&K go to hell” remark

After Farooq Abdullah’s ‘Let J&K go to hell’ remark sparked furore, the National Conference chief issued a clarification. While talking to ANI, Farooq said, “We will not stand with any another country, but at least respect us, try to win our hearts. This is why I used these words. I am clarifying”. A day after the Supreme Court upheld the abrogation of Article 370, National Conference Chief and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on December 12 said on the Article 370 Verdict, “Let Jammu and Kashmir go to hell. They (Government) made Jammu and Kashmir a hell.” In a landmark move, the Supreme Court Constitution Bench unanimously upheld the abrogation of Article 370 of J&K on Dec 11. A 5-Judge bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud pronounced the verdict and called Article 370 “Temporary Provision”.

A high-mast national flag at Tango Top in Anantnag has been inaugurated by the J&K Police along with the district administration to honour the nationalistic sentiments of the people of Anantnag ahead of the Independence Day 2023. The high-mast national flag, which is visible up to 10 kms in all directions, would become a landmark of South Kashmir. Brig Amandeep Malhi, VSM, Cdr 1 Sect RR along with DIGP South Kashmir Range Rayees Mohammad Bhat, IPS, hoisted the flag. The work for the installation of the flag started with effect from June 2023. Given the history of South Kashmir, this Tricolour would be a symbol of unity and peace and would be referred to as “The Tricolour of Unity”.
