However, the Ministry of External Affairs has vehemently rejected the claims made by The Guardian in its report. Denying the allegations, Ministry of External Affairs called it a “false and malicious anti-India propaganda”. On Mar 04, 2019, PM Modi slammed Pakistan for its continuous cross-border terrorism and said, “Hum Ghar me Gush ke Marenge”. Defence Expert KP Fabian has rejected The Guardian’s report and echoed MEA’s statement. However, he said that The Guardian’s report will benefit the ruling BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

PM Narendra Modi came down heavily against Congress for giving away Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka in 1974. PM accused the Congress and former PM Indira Gandhi of weakening India’s unity, integrity and interests. PM took to X and wrote that Congress “callously” gave away the island of Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 09 held a mega roadshow in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi, UP. People in large numbers showed up to catch a glimpse of PM Modi. This is PM Modi’s first visit to his constituency Varanasi after the BJP released its first list of Lok Sabha poll candidates. After the roadshow, the Prime Minister also visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and offered prayers at the holy shrine. Jammu and Kashmir’s Batool Zehra, a first year college student from Uri has sung a Ram bhajan in Pahari language to connect J&K with Ayodhya Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, to be held on January 22 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Speaking on viral video of singing Ram bhajan in Pahari language, Batool Zehra said, “I heard a song by Jubin Nautiyal and I liked it very much. I thought that if it can be in Hindi, why can it not be in Pahari. I wrote it in Pahari and sang it. I recorded it and showed it to my sir. He posted it and it got viral. Thanks to the LG (Manoj Sinha) it is because of him that negative things are being removed from people's minds. My Muslim brothers also appreciated me a lot. Our Imam gave a message that we should love the country in which we live. Shri Ram was called 'Purushottam' because of his honesty and his belief in justice.” Meanwhile, preparations are underway in full swing for the grand temple opening, which will draw dignitaries and people from all walks of life.

This time EAM Jaishankar broke the internet with his latest post on platform X during Jaishankar’s Russia visit. He shared two images, one of an entry pass from 1962 and another picture of 2023 at the Red Square. EAM Jaishankar shared a nostalgic moment from the past and captioned the post, “How it started”, “How it is going”. The entry pass was from 1962 which invited him to a commemoration ceremony of the first Russian cosmonauts in space. Notably, Jaishankar's first posting as an IFS officer was at the Indian Embassy in Moscow in 1978. EAM Jaishankar is on a four-day visit to Russia from Dec 25 to Dec 29 where he is scheduled to meet his Russian Counterpart.
