World Tourism Day 2022: 7 must-visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India

Every year, September 27 is celebrated as World Tourism Day. Tourism helps people learn about a country through its cultural and natural landscape. India boasts of 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in different parts of the country. As many as 32 of them are cultural sites, seven of them are natural and one is of the mixed criteria, which includes both natural and cultural elements. Interestingly, some of these like the Taj Mahal are also one of the wonders of the world, and closer to Mumbai, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, The Victorian and Art Deco Ensemble and the Elephanta Caves are also on the list.
