Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed and vehicles plunged into the river on Mar 26 after a ship collided with one of the pillars. Daylight drone visuals showed the extent of damage the bridge suffered sending cars and people into the river. Following the incident, US Secretary of Transportation emphasised that the path to normalcy after the bridge collapse would not be easy. Meanwhile, locals recalled the moment of collapse and one of them said the noise was felt in the house. The Maryland state police on March 27 informed that six people who were missing after the bridge collapsed incident have been presumed dead. The ship was identified as a Singapore-flagged container ship, the Dali which was bound for Sri Lanka.

On the murder of a four-year-old boy allegedly by his mother in Goa, cab driver Rayjohn D'Souza says, "She (accused Suchana Seth) remained quiet during the entire journey... I received call from the Goa Police and the police informed me that bloodstains were found in Suchana's room and suspected the missing child. North Goa SP Nidhin Valsan revealed chilling details related to the case. Goa Police took the woman accused of killing her four-year-old boy, into custody and presented her before Mapusa court. The accused is the mother who went to six day police custody. Nidhin Valsan said on the Goa murder case, “Goa court remands to six-day police custody to the mother. The father identified the boy & he said that they got married in 2012 and their divorce proceedings started in 2022. Recently, the court had given an order to spend time with the father on Sunday...The accused woman seemed to be unhappy with the court order.”

The Israeli army on December 4 released footage showing what it said were ground and air operations against Hamas targets in Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas Conflict. In the video footage, Israeli soldiers could be seen carrying weapons and firing toward what they said were Hamas targets, and aerial footage showed destruction of what the Israeli army said was Hamas infrastructure. According to an Israeli army statement, the army entered a building where they encountered Hamas fighters and during the battle inside the building, two Israeli sergeants were killed and two other soldiers were injured. Israeli troops and tanks also pressed the ground campaign against Hamas militants in the south of the enclave after having largely gained control of the now-devastated north.

Rescue operations are underway for the fifth day to rescue the 40 trapped workers. An under-construction tunnel between Silkyara, Dandalgaon on Brahmakhal-Yamunotri NH collapsed in the early hours of Nov 12. A worker from Jharkhand, Vishwajeet is trapped in the tunnel along with 40 laborers. His brother Indrajeet talked to him through and encouraged him to stay strong. Indrajeet, a resident of Jharkhand, whose 38-year-old brother Vishwajeet is trapped in the tunnel of Uttarkashi along with 40 laborers. While talking to ANI, Indrajeet said that he had talked to Vishwajeet through pipeline. Vishwajeet trapped in the tunnel told that food and water is available inside the tunnel. Indrajeet assured his brother Vishwajeet that soon all the workers trapped in the tunnel would come out and they would go to their village in Jharkhand to celebrate Chhath Puja. Union Minister Vijay Kumar Singh reviewed the Uttarkashi tunnel rescue operations in the under-construction tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi on November 16. Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar says, "...Best possible efforts are being made here - by the agencies of Central Government and State Government. I think we should be patient and have faith. It will take time but the best possible efforts are being made..."
