Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi on March 27. He underwent emergency brain surgery after suffering life-threatening bleeding in the skull on March 17. He experienced severe headaches for a few weeks before undergoing the surgery, according to Isha Foundation. In a video clip, the spiritual Guru was seen coming out of the hospital as his followers greeted him. Sadhguru has suffered multiple bleedings in the brain before being hospitalised. Sadhguru, who is 66 years old and the founder of the Isha Foundation, has launched campaigns like ‘Save Soil’ and ‘Rally for Rivers’ for environmental conservation. Watch video.

A woman died and 17 others were injured after the stage collapsed during Jagran ceremony at Kalkaji Mandir in Delhi on Jan 27. According to Delhi Police, no permission was granted to hold the event, however, sufficient staff was deployed to maintain law and order. As per the temple’s priest, renowned singers like B Praak, Kanhaiya Mittal were present. There was a huge crowd in a tightly-packed venue. The kalkaji mandir tragedy happened when scores of devotees climbed the main stage to catch a glimpse of Punjabi musician B Praak. All the injured were shifted to the city’s AIIMS Trauma Centre, Safdarjung Hospital and MAX Hospital.

PM Modi called Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and expressed concern over the recent mimicry filming incident. On December 19, a TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee was seen mimicking VP Jagdeep Dhankhar in the Parliament premises. He drew laughter from other Opposition MPs and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was filming him. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar termed the incident “shameful” and “ridiculous”. Demanding an apology from the INDIA bloc over the mimicry incident of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on December 19 said that the opposition members tried to belittle the image of Vice President adding that they are against the tribal and farming communities of the nation. While expressing concerns in Rajya Sabha over the Jagdeep Dhankar Mimicry Incident, Pralhad Joshi said, "Leader of Congress, a former Congress President who could not manage his own party affairs was trying to encourage this unfortunate act. This incident has circulated on social media and people are condemning it." Pralhad Joshi further said that Congress also deliberately insulted President Droupadi Murmu earlier. "From the beginning, Congress has deliberately been insulting our President, who comes from the tribal community and from day one their party leader in other house have insulted her. This puts a question on their mental state," he said.
