India's famous religious congregation, the 'Kumbh Mela' is in full swing at Haridwar, Uttarakhand. On April 12, devotees took a holy dip in River Ganga on the occasion of the second 'shahi snan' in Kumbh. However, this is happening at a time when the nation is going through its second peak of COVID-19 which is proving to be much worse than the first. In yet another fire tragedy at the Maha Kumbh congregation in Allahabad, a man was killed and at least 30 tents were charred in Nirmal Akhada on the eve of Basant Panchami.
