Ram Navami 2024: Ram Lalla's forehead illuminates with 'Surya Tilak' in Ayodhya

On the occasion Of Ram Navami, Surya Abhishek of Lord Ram was performed for five minutes at 12:16 pm on April 17. Ramnavami, the birth festival of Lord Ram Lala, was celebrated at noon and various types of offerings were made to the Lord. 56 types of Bhog Prasad were given by the devotees today which was offered to the Lord today. The trust also extended the duration of Darshan to 19 hours, starting from the Mangala Aarti and continuing until 11:00 pm. The curtain will be closed only for five minutes during the four Bhog offerings.

She provided insights into the current situation in Taiwan post-earthquake and elaborated on the responses from both Indian authorities in Taiwan and the Indian community. The Government of Taiwan has confirmed four fatalities and reported 711 injuries as a result of the disaster.

Taiwan Earthquake: Earthquake of 7.2 magnitude hits Taiwan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 jolted Taiwan’s eastern coasts on April 03. The 7.2 magnitude earthquake knocked out power services in parts of Taiwan. It also sparked tsunami warnings for the southern part of Japan and the Philippines. Due to the quake, metro systems in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung were suspended. Several buildings collapsed near the eastern county of Hualien, near the epicenter. As per Taiwan’s weather forecast agency, quake hit at a depth of 15.5 km off the eastern coast of Taiwan. Quoting Taiwan’s state media, Reuters reported that it was the strongest quake to hit the island in 25 years. Meanwhile, Japan issued an evacuation advisory for the coastal areas of the southern prefecture of Okinawa. Tsunami waves of up to 3 meters were expected to reach large areas of Japan's southwestern coast.

PM Modi in Telangana held a massive roadshow in the Medchal Malkajgiri on March 15 as part of the BJP's election campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Prime Minister was accompanied by State BJP President and Secunderabad Lok Sabha candidate G Kishan Reddy, Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat candidate Etala Rajender and BJP vice-president Dr K Laxman. PM Modi is also scheduled to address two public meetings at Nagarkurnool on March 16 and Jagtial on March 18.The BJP is formulating strategies to win more seats in the Lok Sabha elections in the state this time. The party's top leaders have already focused on Telangana.

There is a major update in Sandeshkhali violence. West Bengal police arrested Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan who has been accused of sexually assaulting many women as well as land grabbing in Sandeshkhali. Reportedly, he was arrested from the Minakhan area in North 24 Parganas in the early hours of Thursday morning. He is expected to be produced before a local court in Basirhat court in West Bengal at 2pm on 29th February. Shahjahan has been evading arrest by both state and Central Agencies for over a month. A large number of women in Sandeshkhali had accused Sheikh Shahjahan of "land-grab and sexual assault". Bengal BJP leaders have been protesting, demanding Shahjahan’s arrest ever since allegations came to the fore.

After the Centre brought a proposal to purchase crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP), farmers leaders rejected the proposal on February 19, saying that it had nothing for them. Addressing a press conference, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal said that after the discussion, the forums rejected the proposal. "After the discussion of both forums, it has been decided that if you analyse, there is nothing in the government's proposal. Our government imports palm oil worth Rs 1.75 crore from outside that also causes illness to the general public. If this money is given to the farmers of the country to grow oil seed crops and MSP is announced, then that money can be used here. This is not in the favour of farmers. We reject it," he said. "If the government is not giving legal guarantee of MSP, it means that the farmers of the country will continue to be looted. This is not acceptable," he added.
