The move came after the recent order of the Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court. Hindus consider Bhojshala to be a temple dedicated to 'Vagdevi', while Muslims know it as the Kamal Maula Mosque.

The launch of ISRO's meteorological satellite INSAT-3DS, aiming to enhance meteorological observations and help in better weather forecasting and disaster warning, is scheduled for February 17.Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), in a post on X on Thursday said that the satellite will be launched onboard a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle F14 (GSLV F14)."The launch of the GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS mission is set for Saturday, February 17, at 5:30pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR at Sriharikota," ISRO said.In August ISRO had launched successfully launched Chandrayaan-3, for this achievement ISRO was feted with the prestigious Leif Erikson Lunar Prize by the Husavik Museum. In last month January, the Indian Space Research Organisation had injected the Aditya-L1 Solar Mission into its designated orbit.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall for north Konkan, north central Maharashtra, east and west Vidarbha, Odisha, Gujarat, Goa and ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra. Scores of Mumbaikars who did not step out of their houses and even changed their travel plans following IMD's red alert on Friday were left red-faced. As the rain activities subsided on Friday, the weather bureau downgraded the rain alert from red to orange later during the day. On Thursday evening the IMD's Regional Meteorological Centre - Mumbai issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar for Friday, July 8. Meanwhile, a Red alert was issued for July 8 and July 9 in Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Satara. While the red alert was later downgraded to an orange alert during the day for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar for other areas forecast remained the same.

The civic body’s works over the past year seem to have given relief to citizens living in and commuting through the areas that are prone to chronic flooding between Dadar and Parel. Among those are Hindmata and King’s Circle, both of which were waterlogged on Tuesday after incessant downpour. But, once the rain stopped, both these spots were cleared of water, thanks to the holding tanks and water pumps. The BMC, however, faltered at one point the Milan subway. It was flooded like always and remained so even after the rain stopped, as the civic body forgot to install water pumps for the holding tank.
