Emotions ran high as a special flight carrying around 25 students from Maharashtra who were stranded in riot-hit Manipur landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Monday evening. The students, who have been pursuing higher education degrees in various institutions in the northeastern state, and parents who were waiting for them thanked the state government for helping them to return home safely. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on May 07 had said that a special flight will be arranged to bring back the students. CM Shinde also held a telephonic discussion with two students stranded in Manipur.
